Zach brings a landscape architecture and community-based design approach to the table, strongly influenced by his awareness of the inherent challenges of managing neighborhood change. He assists in the preparation of easily-interpreted, visually-rich, and context-sensitive design standards at Code Studio. Zach offers comprehensive knowledge on social equity issues, historic preservation and development in legacy cities through his academic experiences. His planning background in the Midwest, Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest has influenced Zach to develop codes that are both culturally and ecologically sensitive to place.
Zach received a Master of Regional Planning from Cornell University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
