René

Associate Principal

René comes to Code Studio with approximately 15 years of urban design consulting and project management experience, with both the public and private sectors. His public sector work includes neighborhood, nodal, corridor and park plans, as well as typological studies. These efforts have shaped everything from overall urban frameworks, down to block structure, open space networks, built form envelopes and conceptual building and public realm design.

René is skilled in communicating design vision through a mix of plan diagrams, three dimensional models, and demonstration renderings. Since 2015, he has regularly served as a project manager, working directly with clients and stakeholders, and coordinating with consultant teams.

He has periodically taught urban design through the Planning and Architecture schools at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University), and is a regular participant in student reviews at the Daniels School of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto.
